Sharks in the Park

Details

Sharks in the Park combines public art with business community support to create a unique Chatham experience. Fourty-plus works of art are created by local artists using shark profiles, which are on display from May through August. The sharks swim in Kate Gould Park until the end of June, and move to the lawn of the Eldredge Public Library before the first Chatham Band Concert of the summer. There is also a scavenger hunt for smaller companion pieces of art in local shops.

The sharks are auctioned off at the end of the summer, with proceeds going to the artists and toward support of local organizations. Sharks in the Park is sponsored by the Chatham Merchants Association.
