The Chatharn Alliance for Preservation and Conservation is presenting
a program, Preserving Chatham's Architectural Magic. Jonathan
Hale, author of The Old Way of Seeing, How Architecture Lost Its
Magic and How to Get It Back, is the featured speaker. Comments
and questions from the audience will follow. Refreshments and coffee
will be served at 10:15 a.m.; the program will begin at 10:30. Admission
Free.

Chatham and Cape Cod Architecture
Eldredge Public Library
Len Sussrnan, with degrees from Harvard and Yale Universities, will
present this lecture series sponsored by the Eldredge Public Library
as part of their Spring Learning Series. Registration required. Fee
$5.00.

House Tour, 2:00 to 4:00 p.m.
Tickets $10 each. Advance sales at Puritan Clothing and Island Pursuit
on Main Street, and the Atwood House Museum, 347 Stage Harbor Road.
Featuring five historic houses, all winners of the Chatharn Preservation
Award. Tour arranged by the Chatharn Garden Club. The 1752 Atwood House,
the core of the museum complex, will be open for tours 1:00 to 4:00
p.m. as part of Chatharn's observance of National Preservation Month.
The Museum Shop will also be open for your convenience.
Tickets available at individual houses on tour date.

Chatham Lighthouse Tours
Lighthouse Overlook, Main Street
The historic Chatham Lighthouse will be open for tours for the entire
family. The Coast Guard Auxiliary will be there to take you into and
around the Lighthouse and the National Register Site and explain the
workings of the light and the Coast Guard Station. Admission Free. Parking
available across the street at the Chatham Overlook. Join us!

Open House, Chatham Historical Society Archives
Tour the Historical Society's Archival Storage Area and see the Wendy
Wade Costello Gallery, created to display one of the historical Blue
Back Maritime Charts in the Society's collection each month. Also take
the opportunity to view documents belonging to The Chatham Marconi Maritime
Center being housed at the Historical Society until their archival center
is completed.
